Collaboration – Part 1

Background

Collaboration simply means ‘working together’. It is something we must do as business owners and managers to help each other through thee uncertain times. As a group, we will explore what other groups are doing and how we can tap into other sources of encouragement and support.

This is the last week in our ‘video and talk’ series, and we will then move towards a more relational model of support and promoting our businesses.  Let’s do this together….

The Interview

CityStory is a collective of passionate believers who have come together to make a difference to their city. Start with reading their article on the impact of collaboration, and spend time looking through the many testimonies or stories of inspiration on the website.

In particular, their business grouping called Faith at Work, is one that we can actively engage with and be part of, and with whom we can align going forward.

Olive Tree Church have a very active business ministry who have been running for some time and from whom we can learn much. Let us hear from Ash Hall, who plays a leading role at Olive Tree and at City Story – he has already been part of our journey from the start, would you like to align with them going forward?

The Group Discussion

Ash Hall joined us for the group discussion and provided insightful feedback

to the questions asked in the group. He was happy to share resources and

collaborate with our group going forward. Olive Tree’s primary objectives

were discipleship, community and increased employment as part of a broader

vision. Following a lively discussion, the group moved towards, amongst

others – doing the survey to see how we can best serve our business leaders,

seek to provide skilled support, and providing networking opportunities and

later on following a course like ‘God is my CEO’. Many people would not join a

regular meeting, but could still benefit from skilled inputs or promotional

opportunities. A survey would be the next step in the journey.
