Opening under level 3 – Part 1
Opening under level 3 – Part 1
Opening under level 3 – Follow up discussion
All companies re-opening their business, have to have a comprehensive Work Place Readiness Plan, including a host of documents and procedures that need to be thought through for their business, documented and implemented. Many business owners and managers were not aware of this detail or had access to the documents.
We heard from Nick Kitching, of New Life Consulting, who had prepared a set of documentation to make it easy for companies to prepare their Work Place Readiness Plan, and had made it available to our group at no charge. We heard from him why he had done this and as he spoke we realised that this was not just a compliance issue, but was preparing our workplace to avoid COVID from seriously impacting our business. There was a real benefit against a real threat.
Before the discussion the set of documents was circulated amongst many of the members who were able to put them to use. Caryne Duvenhage took the documents and re-worked them to be more suitable for small businesses of under 10 employees.
We heard from Lloyd Miskey who works as a Health and Safety consultant. This reinforced what we were discovering, was that we have skills and people in the church, who have relevant skills to help us take our businesses forward. It was felt that this topic was very helpful to business owners in a practical way.
